The Ville Urbane Closet: Everything you need to know

Madison has come to your game in the Ville to offer her expertise in fashion, and she wants to help you become a world famous stylist! Of course, if you're going to help others with their fashion choices, you'll need to have a more impressive wardrobe of your own, which is accomplished by completing a new Urbane Closet quest series in the game. This Urbane Closet quest series is still rolling out to all players, so don't panic if you don't see it the next time you login to the game.

  • Admire Your Shoes
  • Place your New Urbane Chaise

The Ville Flower Power Quests: Everything you need to know

Sophie has found a new interest in the Ville, as she's met a man speaking of a magical or at least life-changing "Dream." This feature contains a few quests dealing with peace, love, and even hippies, and we're here with a guide to show you what to expect when you begin these quests in your own game.

Perchance to Dream
Have a Flower Power Bed
Plant 5 Pink Tulips

The Flower Power Bed costs 1,025 coins and requires building materials to finish. Luckily, you don't actually have to construct the bed for this quest as simply placing it somewhere in your game counts. Pink Tulips, meanwhile, cost 235 coins each from the store, but thankfully, you can simply store any Pink Tulips you already have and then pull them back out without spending any coins! We've tested this, and can confirm that this free method works as of this writing. For completing this first quest in the series, you'll receive two XP and 75 coins.

The Inner Light
Collect 10 Dye
Collect 5 Thread
Collect 10 Rubber Bands

Essentially, all three of these items can be earned by simply asking your friends to send them to you, but you can also earn some of them for free if you have the energy and time to spare. Dye can be earned by clicking on cabinets, while Thread drops randomly when tending Dressers, but unfortunately, you will have to ask your friends for Rubber Bands to finish this quest. You'll receive two more XP, 75 coins and a Venus on the Halfshell painting for completing this one.

Family Ville
Put on a Tie Dye Shirt
Collect 10 Chrysanthemums
Ask friends for 10 Zen

While you're free to ask your friends for the 10 Zen you need, you can also earn them by tending items in the garden. The Tie Dye Shirt, meanwhile, is found in the clothing menu. You'll receive another 75 coins and 2 XP for completing this quest.

The Flower Power Bed
Finish the Flower Power Bed
Have 3 Lava Lamps
Collect 10 Big Dreams

The Flower Power Bed requires building materials to complete: 5 Hammers, 6 Yarn, 6 Chrysanthemums, 5 Tulips, 7 Nails and 7 Roses. Hopefully, you'll have most of these flowers already in your inventory, so that you don't have to either wait for your friends to send them to you, or wait for them to generate in your own garden. Either way, while you're working on finishing the bed, you can also ask your friends to send you Big Dreams (which also drop when sleeping) or earn the coins necessary to buy the Lava Lamps. For the record, a single Lava Lamp costs just 110 coins in the store. When you finish this rather complex quest, you'll receive a Blue Lotus Rug, along with two XP and 75 coins.

Sounds of Sleep
Have an Alloy Soaring V Guitar
Have a Jam Session on the Alloy Soaring V Guitar
Be a Super Star on the Harmoniza Karaoke Machine

While you likely already have the game's "starter" guitar in your possession, you'll need a different one to actually finish this quest, with the Alloy Soaring V costing 4,325 coins in the store. Hopefully this is more of an investment than an item that will only be used a single time, as that's a lot of coins to spend on just a single quest. Either way, finishing off this quest gives you two XP and 75 coins.

Little Sophia in Dreamland
Call Over 3 Neighbors
Cook 3 Margherita Pizza
Make Flower Power Whoopie 3 Times

To "make whoopie" in the Ville, you'll need to have a fairly high romantic relationship level with another character in the game, and then invite them over to your house. Click on the bed, and then click on the whoopie option, followed by the character you'd like to "whoopie" with and the process will complete automatically. It should be noted that most beds don't allow you to whoopie in rapid succession, so you'll need to wait some time before completing this quest. Speaking of completing the quest, you'll receive two XP and 75 coins when you do.

Ultimately, the last worthwhile prize in this series is the Blue Lotus Rug, and since these quests don't have a time limit associated with them, there's no reason to rush through the end if you've yet to purchase that expensive guitar required above. If anything, complete what you're already currently invested in and come back to these quests when you're ready to use that kind of virtual money. If, on the other hand, you're already a high-level veteran, you'll at least have something to do over the next few days to complete these quests in full. Good luck either way!

What do you think of these Flower Power quests? Do you like the challenge that comes along with this major building projects, or would you rather quests in the Ville be a bit easier and more straightforward? Sound off in the comments!

The Ville: Get Free Signatures, Energy and more!

ChefVille

If you've yet to play ChefVille on Facebook, but are one of the many players that have taken to Zynga's the Ville on Facebook, you're being offered some pretty great incentive to give the former a try. To be specific, Ville players are being offered energy, Signatures and Eggs for reaching up to Level 12 in ChefVille.

These items are being given away in waves, as has been the case with most other ChefVille cross-promotions on Facebook. However, there are only three waves of prizes here, instead of four as in other games. This doesn't mean you'll have less work though, as you'll still need to reach Level 12 to earn your final rewards. Here's a rundown of the prizes given away at each stage of this promotion:

  • Reach Level 3 in ChefVille ---> Receive 6 Eggs in the Ville
  • Reach Level 7 in ChefVille ---> Receive 8 Signatures in the Ville
  • Reach Level 12 in ChefVille ---> Receive 6 Eggs, 8 Signatures and 10 Energy in the Ville.

If your inventory is already full of any of these items in the Ville, you'll want to use them before accepting the rewards in ChefVille, especially since those Signatures can help you earn Lot Expansion Permits, and you won't want to waste them. It's possible that future cross-promotions will launch between ChefVille and the Ville, and if that ends up being the case, we'll make sure to let you know!

What do you think of these rewards in The Ville? Have you already reached Level 12 in ChefVille? Which Zynga game do you think is giving away the best prizes for playing ChefVille? Sound off in the comments!

The Ville: Take your game to new heights on Zynga.com

The Ville has joined the ranks of Zynga games like CityVille and CastleVille, and is now available to play on Zynga.com. If you've yet to try Zynga.com, Zynga's web portal is an incredible improvement over just playing on Facebook, as it combines your Facebook friends with thousands or even millions of other players that can also help you out in your games.

In the case of the Ville, you'll simply need to head to Zynga.com and login with Facebook Connect. This ensures that your game progress carries over, as will your Facebook friends. However, where things truly get interesting is when you actually start to play the Ville, as any news posts you publish to your Facebook News Feed will also be published to the Zynga.com ticker, where it will be viewed by thousands of other players that can all click on your links. Needless to say, you'll have whatever you were looking for in a flash and can quickly make progress back in your game.

Furthermore, the move to Zynga.com sees players being able to take advantage of their existing Friends, who may have only played other games before. With this addition on Zynga.com, you can find plenty of additional neighbors that you can send requests to (and receive items from) all without giving up the privacy associated with your actual Facebook profile.

It's unknown when other Zynga games will join the catalog of other games on Zynga.com, but you can be sure we'll let you know if and when others are added to the service. Stay tuned!

Will you start playing the Ville on Zynga.com, or do you already make enough steady progress in your favorite games without it? Sound off in the comments ;)

Doors To Riches, The Ville Facebook Game

Jake has launched a new game show in the Ville on Facebook, and he wants you to play along! This feature is similar to the countdowns you might be familiar with from CastleVille or FarmVille, in that a new prize will become available each day, apparently a week at a time, and you'll need to ask your friends for help in earning them.

In this first installment of Doors to Riches, you'll need to ask your Ville neighbors to send you collectible items relating to Moroccan themed prizes. Here's the full lineup of prizes, along with what you'll need to collect with friends' help.

Moroccan Oasis Lounger - Requires 5 Trivia
Moroccan Deluxe - Requires 11 Dice
Moroccan Nights Loveseat - Requires 11 Microphones
Jasmine Day Rug - Requires 4 Good Luck Charms
Moroccan Nights Sitting Chair - Requires 7 Smiles
Moroccan Nights Sofa - Requires 9 Hourglasses

You'll have just seven days to earn these items, with one item unlocking each day. Once the seven days have elapsed, any prizes that you didn't manage to earn will disappear, apparently forever. We're not sure if a new set of prizes will become available after that fact, but either way, you'll definitely want to take advantage of these freebies while you can.

In addition to the above prizes, if you win all of them, you'll also receive a Flying Carpet for your house. If you interact with it, your avatar can actually take a ride around its land. Again, you'll need to earn all of these prizes within a week or you'll miss out, but if you're running out of time, you can always complete the collection with Ville Cash. Good luck earning them all!
