These newest items will be available in the game's store for the next 12 days, while the first release of items in this theme will only be available to purchase for five more days. Make sure to at least browse through the store while these two sets of items are still available to see which (if any) you'd like to add to your home to make a complete theme. What do you think of these new Ville decorations and furniture items? Forget what we said about the oddness of the Hidden Chronicles and Big Brother cross-promotion - a new promotion in the Ville has topped it on the weird scale, as Courtyard by Marriott, a hotel chain, has partnered with Zynga to promote... football? We seriously can't make this up, and you'll find the proof of this promotion waiting for you in your game. This event comes in the form of a timed quest and themed items that are now available to purchase for your pad. The quest is called Courtyard Football Party and you'll have two weeks to complete it (hopefully it won't take you nearly that long).Courtyard Football Party
- Place 2 Branded Courtyard Items
- Buy a Courtyard SportsVision TV
- Watch Football on the Courtyard SportsVision TV
There are five branded items available in the marketplace, ranging in price from 150 coins to 2,100 coins. If you're looking to complete this quest in the cheapest way possible, you'll want to purchase the Courtyard Touchdown Rug for 150 coins and the SportsVision TV for 2,100 coins, since you need to purchase the TV either way to finish this quest. Also, don't worry about the game's wording of placing these items "in your den," as simply purchasing them should count, regardless of where you place them. Just remember to have a sofa in front of it so you can actually watch football to complete this quest.

When you finish this quest, you'll receive a Courtyard Paper Football Table. You'll also be told that you need to visit this promotion's branded Facebook fan page, but as of this writing, that adds nothing to the experience. It's interesting that you'll have two weeks to finish this quest when it's so simple, but I suppose that's more for the users that might need to take time to earn the 2,100 coins necessary to purchase the TV than anything else. Just remember to complete this quest at some time within the next two weeks (and purchase the themed items in their 16 day time limit) so that you don't miss out entirely. What do you think of this Courtyard by Marriott, football-themed promotion in the Ville? Were you able to quickly complete these three steps to earn your prize? Sound off in the comments!
While Zynga normally doesn't offer much in the way of hints and teasers for upcoming events in its Facebook games (aside from the occasional letter on the Zynga forums), this seems to actually be a tradition in the Ville, as we learned about Dogs and the game's Doghouse before that feature launched and now, we've been told that a Greenhouse is coming soon.Unfortunately, that's all we know about this upcoming event, but that won't stop us from speculating! If we're being logical, this Greenhouse will likely offer us a place to store our individual garden plots, so that we can continue to grow herbs, vegetables, etc. in a smaller space and save land. After all, how are we supposed to truly build our dream homes if we have to constantly manage the location of farm plots that are standing in the way of our building additional rooms?!This Greenhouse may also serve as a way for us to speed up the growth of plots or perhaps earn free food once per day through simple collection (just as we earn coins or Happiness points for interacting with items in our homes). Whatever the case, there will likely be a series of quests to complete once the Greenhouse launches, so I hope you have plenty of active neighbors available to help you complete them. If not, you can always take advantage of the game's launch of Zynga.com and earn dozens of active neighbors in a matter of minutes. Stay tuned for more on this Greenhouse feature as we learn more! What do you think of the idea of a Greenhouse in the Ville? Are you a big farmer, or do you mainly ignore the game's farm plots unless a quest wants you to grow something? Sound off in the comments!
A lengthy new timed quest series has launched in the Ville this week, giving you the chance to welcome Giselle home from her tour on the road. You'll have just two weeks to complete all of these quests, but we're here with a guide to help you out every step of the way. Let's get started!Welcome Home, Giselle!
- Use Phone to Invite 4 Neighbors to Party
- Complete Invitations Job 3 Times
- Get 5 Welcome Home Cards
The Welcome Home Cards are earned via a general news item posted on your wall. While you're waiting for those to appear, you can click on the Printer to start the Invitations Job, which requires 100 Happiness and 1 Hour to complete. Finally, you can click on your Phone to invite a neighbor to the party once every 30 minutes. Completing this first goal gives you a Papaya Tree, a Coconut Tree and 2 XP.Room to Party
- Get 4 Expansion Permits
- Mow Grass 7 Times
- Place 40 Floor Tiles
The Floor Tiles don't have to be inside of a room, as you're technically supposed to be making a patio for a backyard party space. Meanwhile, the Expansion Permits must be crafted using Signatures that you can earn either by asking your friends to send them to you directly or earning them at random when interacting with friends' avatars. You'll earn a green grill, two XP and 50 coins for finishing this second quest. This guide will continue to expand as we learn more about these full quests, so keep checking back! In the meantime, these two time consuming quests should be enough to keep you busy for a while. Stay tuned for more! What do you think of these quests so far? Sound off in the comments!
